Baixia, Nanjing

Baixia (Chinese: 白下; pinyin: Báixià) was a district of Nanjing, the capital of Jiangsu Province, in the People's Republic of China. It had a population of about 530,000 people in 2011 and covered an area of 35 square kilometres.
Located beside the Qinhuai River, Baixia has a rich history and important cultural traditions. As part of downtown Nanjing, it offered easy ways to get around the city and had many opportunities for work and business. After improvements to its roads and buildings, Baixia became a pleasant place to live, with good connections for sharing information and staying connected.
Administrative subdivisions
Baixia District has nine areas it looks after, called subdistricts. These are Wulaocun Subdivision, Jiankang Road Subdivision, Hongwu Road Subdivision, Daguang Road Subdivision, Ruijin Road Subdivision, Muxuyuan Subdivision, Guanghua Road Subdivision, Chaotian Palace Subdivision, and Zhimaying Subdivision. The main office for Baixia District is in Hongwu Road Subdivision.
