The Cabinet of Denmark, also called the Government of the Kingdom of Denmark, is the main group that runs the country. It has been in charge since 1848, after Denmark's constitution was created. This group leads Denmark, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland.
The Cabinet is led by the Prime Minister, and it includes about 25 ministers. Each minister takes care of a different part of the government, like schools or health. Usually, the Cabinet is made up of people from two or more parties who work together, but often they need support from other parties too.
The Monarch officially chooses the Cabinet, but there are specific steps to follow when a new government is needed. The Prime Minister usually becomes the leader of the new Cabinet. Right now, the Prime Minister is Mette Frederiksen, and her team includes members from the Social Democratic Party, Venstre, and the Moderates, with support from parties in the Faroe Islands and Greenland.
