The Central European red deer, also called the common red deer (Cervus elaphus hippelaphus), is a type of red deer that lives in central Europe. These deer are found in many countries, including France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, and Denmark, as well as in the western Carpathians.

People have also brought these deer to live in faraway places like New Zealand, Australia, Chile, and Argentina. They are a important part of the natural world in these areas, helping to keep the balance of nature.

Description

The Central European red deer is a type of deer found across much of Europe. These deer have light-colored fur with a lighter-colored patch on their rump that has a black border. Other types of red deer, like the smaller Spanish red deer, the Norwegian red deer, and the Mesola red deer, look a bit different from the Central European red deer.
