The flag of the United States of America

Consetta Caruccio-Lenz (26 September 1918 – 2 July 1980) was an American gymnast who competed in the 1936 Berlin Summer Olympics and in the 1948 London Summer Olympics.

Caruccio started gymnastics at age 14 when she joined the Germania Turnverein club in Baltimore, Maryland. She was good at many sports and once set the US record for running 50 yards in just 6.3 seconds.

In the 1936 Berlin Olympics, she performed very well. Although women did not receive individual medals at that time, her scores would have earned her a bronze medal today. She also scored the highest in a part of the competition on the bars. In the 1948 Olympics, she helped her team win a bronze medal.

Later, Lenz served for nine years on the U.S. Women's Olympic committee and was honored by being placed in the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 1976.
