Cuatro Torres Business Area

The Cuatro Torres Business Area (CTBA), also known as the Área de Negocios de las Cuatro Torres (Spanish for "Four Towers Business Area"), is a business district in the Paseo de la Castellana in Madrid, Spain. It was built on the former Ciudad Deportiva of Real Madrid. This area is famous for having the four tallest skyscrapers in Spain and four of the ten tallest in the European Union. These buildings are the Torre Emperador, Torre de Cristal, Torre PwC, and Torre Cepsa. Construction of these buildings finished in 2008.
After the original buildings were completed, a fifth tower called Caleido was finished in 2021. The CTBA is an important place for business and architecture in Madrid.

Torre de Cristal

Designed by Cesar Pelli and built by Dragados, Torre de Cristal (which means Crystal Tower) is the tallest building in Spain, standing at 249 meters high.
Torre Cepsa

Designed by Lord Foster and built by Dragados together with Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas, Torre Cepsa is 248 meters tall, just 1 meter shorter than Torre de Cristal. It was originally meant to be the headquarters for the company Repsol YPF, but later became the headquarters for Bankia and then Cepsa.
Torre PwC

Designed by Carlos Rubio Carvajal and Enrique Álvarez-Sala Walter and built by Sacyr Sau, Torre PwC is 236 meters tall and has 52 floors. It includes a five-star hotel called Eurostars Madrid Tower. The tower also has special features like wind turbines that help create energy for the building.
Torre Espacio

Designed by Henry N. Cobb and built by Obrascón Huarte Lain, Torre Espacio is 224.5 meters tall and has 57 floors. For a short time, it was the tallest building in Spain.
