Datos y Mensajes was a Colombian television production company. It was started in 1979 by Andrés Pastrana and stopped working in the early 2000s. The company was best known for its news shows. Its most famous program was called Noticiero TV Hoy, which aired from 1979 to 2001. The company helped bring important news to people in Colombia for many years.
History
In 1991, when TV companies split into two groups, Datos y Mensajes joined the first group called Cadena Uno. This group had 12 TV companies, and Datos y Mensajes was one of five allowed to show news. It was also part of a group called OTI Colombia, which brought big sports events like the World Cup and Olympic Games to Colombia.
Later, in 1998, Datos y Mensajes moved to another channel called Canal A. By 2000, the TV company world was having problems. Datos y Mensajes tried to work with other companies to make a good schedule for the channel, but it didn’t work out. Their main news show, Noticiero TV Hoy, stopped in 2001 after being on air for 22 years. It was one of the longest-running news shows in Colombia.
By 2000, Datos y Mensajes was having money troubles. After talking for eight months, they made a plan with people they owed money to. The company finally stopped existing in early 2003.
