Ethiopia competed at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. This was a special moment because Ethiopia came back to the Olympics after missing the last two games. They had not been able to join the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, United States or the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.

Twenty athletes from Ethiopia took part. There were fourteen men and six women, and they joined in eleven different events across two sports. It was exciting to see Ethiopia return and take part in the Olympic Games again.
