Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
Eurosport 1 is a television sports network that shows many exciting sports events. It is part of Eurosport and belongs to the EMEA version of Warner Bros. Discovery. Discovery first took a small share of Eurosport in December 2012, then became the main owner in January 2014 by taking over most of TF1’s share. By July 2015, Discovery fully owned Eurosport.
The channel can be watched in 73 countries and is shown in 21 different languages. It brings viewers sports events from all over Europe and the world. Eurosport first began broadcasting on satellites on February 5, 1989. On November 13, 2015, the main channel was renamed Eurosport 1.
Sporting events
Eurosport shows many sports events from around Europe and the world. Some events might not be shown in certain countries because Eurosport does not have the rights to broadcast them there.

Motorsport
Eurosport Events manages and promotes several motor racing events, including the FIA World Touring Car Championship (WTCC), the FIA European Touring Car Cup, and the FIA European Rally Championship. Eurosport broadcasts every WTCC race live and shows ERC rallies live or with daily highlights.
Eurosport Events was also the promoter of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, which stopped at the end of the 2012 season. Since 2008, Eurosport has broadcast the full 24 Hours of Le Mans race. It also airs MotoGP, Superbike World Championship, and Malaysian Cub Prix in France and Germany, and has rights for NASCAR and IndyCar Series in Spain. In 2015, Eurosport acquired Portuguese rights for Formula One from 2016 to 2018.

Eurosport also covers winter sports, skating, and surfing.
In the past, Eurosport showed professional wrestling from both sides of the Atlantic, including Superstars of Wrestling from the WWF.
In June 2015, Eurosport secured the rights to broadcast the winter and summer Olympic Games in pan-Europe (except Russia) from 2018 to 2024.
Feeds
In Europe, Eurosport 1 is available in basic cable and satellite television packages. Since 1999, it has provided services that offer sports content tailored to different languages, advertisements, and commentary needs. There is also a standard version called Eurosport International in English, along with local channels in France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Germany, Poland, the Nordic region, the Benelux region, and Asia Pacific. These local channels show more sports events that are relevant to their areas, while still using the main pan-European feed. The German version of Eurosport is the only one that can be watched for free on European digital satellite television.
Eurosport 1 is currently shown in twenty-one languages: English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Icelandic, Russian, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Greek, Turkish, and Persian.
On 9 March 2022, Discovery Inc. stopped Eurosport 1 in Russia because of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
On 28 February 2025, Eurosport 1 also stopped in the United Kingdom, and its sports events now air on TNT Sports.
HD feed
A high-definition simulcast version of Eurosport began broadcasting on 25 May 2008. The first event shown in HD was the 2008 French Open at Roland Garros. On 13 November 2015, it changed its name to Eurosport 1 HD.
