Federated States of Micronesia at the 2016 Summer Olympics

The Federated States of Micronesia took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 5 to August 21, 2016. This was the country's fifth time in a row to appear at the Summer Olympics.
The team from the Federated States of Micronesia had five athletes—two men and three women. They competed in athletics, swimming, and women's boxing, which was a new sport for the country. The team was led by swimmer Debra Daniel, who was competing in her third Olympics, and boxer Jennifer Chieng, who carried the nation's flag during the opening ceremony. So far, the Federated States of Micronesia has not won an Olympic medal yet.

The Federated States of Micronesia was invited to send a female boxer to compete in the lightweight division at the 2016 Summer Olympics. This marked the first time the country participated in boxing at the Olympic Games.
