Florida Sentinel Bulletin

The Florida Sentinel Bulletin is a newspaper that comes out every two weeks. It serves the African-American community in the Tampa Bay Area. This newspaper shares important news, stories, and information that matter to the people who live there. It helps keep the community informed and connected.
History
In 1919, General William W. Andrews started the Florida Sentinel in Jacksonville, Florida. The office closed later because of the Great Depression. In 1945, his son, C. Blythe Andrews, opened the Florida Sentinel again at 1511 Central Avenue in Tampa, Florida.
In 1959, C. Blythe Andrews bought the Tampa Bulletin and combined it with the Florida Sentinel to create the Florida Sentinel Bulletin. In 1962, the newspaper moved to 2207 East 21st Avenue in the Ybor City area of Tampa, Florida. A library was later named after the publisher, C. Blythe Andrews Jr.
