Francesco D'Aniello

Francesco D'Aniello (born 21 March 1969 in Nettuno) is an Italian trap shooter. He became well-known for his performance at the 2008 Summer Olympics, where he won the silver medal in the men's double trap event. When he realized he had won the silver medal, D'Aniello felt so much emotion that he fell to his knees and cried.

Although he was excited about his achievement in 2008, his results were not as good at the 2012 Summer Olympics. He finished in 8th place in the qualifying round and did not advance to the final competition. D'Aniello's story shows the ups and downs that athletes experience, even in big events like the Olympics.
