Fremd Village-Padgett Island, Florida

Fremd Village-Padgett Island is a small community in Palm Beach County, Florida, in the United States. It is not officially incorporated as a town or city, but it was recognized as a place for counting people during the 2000 census. At that time, the community had a population of 2,264 people. Today, it remains a quiet area that is part of the larger Palm Beach County.

Geography

Fremd Village-Padgett Island is found at 26°48′31″N 80°39′17″W / 26.80861°N 80.65472°W / 26.80861; -80.65472. The area covers 3.1 km² (1.2 sq mi), and it is all land.

This place is considered a southern part close to Pahokee.

Demographics

Fremd Village-Padgett Island was first counted in the 2000 U.S. census and was not counted separately in later years.

In the year 2000, 2,264 people lived in this area. Most of the people were African American, with smaller groups of White, Hispanic or Latino, and other groups. Many families lived there, and about half of the households had children under 18 years old. The area had a lot of people living in poverty, especially children and older adults. Most people spoke English, with some speaking Spanish.
