Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
HUSS Park Attractions is a company that makes fun rides for amusement parks. The company is owned by people from Germany, but they build their rides in a factory located in Budapest, Hungary. They are known for creating exciting attractions that families can enjoy together at parks around the world.
The company has been making rides for many years, and their creations can be found in parks in many different countries. Their work helps bring joy and entertainment to people of all ages who visit these parks.
History of the original Huss Company
HUSS Maschinenfabrik was a German company started in 1919 in Bremen. It made parts for ship engines before beginning to create amusement rides in 1969.
In 1981, it bought Arrow Development and formed Arrow Huss, but faced money problems. By 1986, the American part became Arrow Dynamics, while the German part reorganized. In 2006, a new company called Huss Park Attractions was formed by investors, using a similar name and logo, and started making rides in Hungary. This new company is different from the original HUSS that built famous rides in the 1970s and '80s.
Ride styles
HUSS created many fun rides, including the Breakdance, Top Spin, Shot'n Drop, and Frisbee. The Breakdance ride was first made in 1985, and today there are over 100 of them around the world, with 46 in Germany.
HUSS also makes big rides that are not quite as thrilling as roller coasters but still exciting. For a short time, HUSS worked together with Arrow to build roller coasters. Some examples of these are Darien Lake's Viper, Marineland's Dragon Mountain, and Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Big Bad Wolf.
