History and profile

Founded in 1955, Hawaii Business is one of the oldest regional business magazines in America. Each year, it publishes special issues like the Best Places to Work in April, a list of Hawaii’s largest companies in August, and profiles of top business leaders in December. Other special issues highlight twenty rising stars in March and the top real estate agents in June.

The magazine talks about big topics that affect major industries in Hawaii, such as tourism, construction, agriculture, and real estate. It also has a monthly section called SmallBiz that covers Hawaii's small businesses. Throughout the year, Hawaii Business holds business events and seminars, including awards and educational forums. In 2013, Bobby Senaha became the publisher of Hawaii Business.
