Indonesia took part in the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, the capital of the People's Republic of China, from August 8 to August 24, 2008. The Olympics is a big event where athletes from many countries come together to compete in many sports. In these games, twenty-two athletes from Indonesia had earned their spots by doing well in qualifying events. In addition, three more athletes were allowed to join through something called a wildcard entry, which gives a chance to athletes who might not have qualified through the usual way. This was an important moment for Indonesia, as it showed the country's support for its athletes and their hard work.
