The Institute for Simulation and Training (IST) is a special place for learning and discovery at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, United States. It helps people study and work with models and simulations, which are like pretend worlds that help us understand real problems. In Spring 2025, Carolina Cruz-Neira became the leader of IST.

IST offers many chances for students to learn. They can earn bachelor's degrees, master's degrees, Professional Science Master's, and even doctoral degrees in modeling and simulation. The institute is also part of a bigger group called the National Center for Simulation, which brings together many places that do similar work. This makes IST an important spot for learning and creating new ideas.
