Jameln is a small place in Germany. It is found in a region called Lower Saxony, in a district named Lüchow-Dannenberg. The main village in Jameln is home to about 450 people.
Jameln is part of a group of villages known as a Samtgemeinde, which is like a small community that works together. This group is called Elbtalaue. Even though Jameln is small, it has its own special charm and history.
Settlements
Since a big change in how towns were organized in 1972, Jameln has ten villages. These villages are Breese im Bruche, Breselenz, Breustian, Jameln, Langenhorst, Mehlfien, Platenlaase, Teichlosen, Volkfien, and Wibbese.
There are also three smaller places called hamlets. They are Hoheluft, Jamelner Mühle, and Krammühle. Before 1972, these hamlets were part of different villages.
