KTTU-FM (97.3 FM, "Double T 97.3") is a radio station licensed to New Deal, Texas, United States, and owned by Ramar Communications Inc. of Lubbock. It serves the Lubbock area and has become an important part of the local sports broadcasting scene. Originally, another station called KLZK was on a different frequency, but in 2008, it swapped frequencies with another sister station.

The station at 97.3 FM began its journey in 1961 in Plainview, Texas, under a different call sign. Over the years, it changed call signs and power levels. In 2015, a big swap happened where KTTU-FM moved to 97.3 FM and became the main station for Texas Tech Sports Network, broadcasting football, men's basketball, and baseball games.

In 2019, there were more changes to the station's programming, shifting to FOX Sports Radio. In 2024, the station was featured on a television program, highlighting its popular hosts. Many talented hosts have worked on Double T 97.3, making it a favorite for sports fans in the area.

HD formats

KTTU-FM offers different music types on its extra channels. On one channel, you can hear rock music, called "Rock 96.9". Another channel plays old songs from many years ago, called "Oldies 97.7". This old music channel started on August 15, 2013.

Later, on August 11, 2018, a new channel began with Texas country music, named "93.1 Texas FM".

In 2019, the rock music changed to classic country songs from the 1990s, called "96.9 The Bull".

By July 1, 2024, the rock music channel became a sports talk station, "100.7 The Score". The Texas country music channel switched to a mix of modern adult songs, called "93.1 Yes FM".

History

KLZK started broadcasting on 104.3 FM in 1995. It was owned by Paul R. Beane, who used to be on the Lubbock City Council.
