KXTQ-FM

KXTQ-FM, known as "Magic 106.5", is a radio station that broadcasts at 106.5 MHz. It is owned by Ramar Communications Inc. of Lubbock, Texas. The station serves the Lubbock area with a strong signal and is based in south Lubbock, where its studios and transmitter are located. 106.5 History

106.5 started broadcasting in October 1992 as a station called "POWER 106" playing Tejano music. It was run by Barton Broadcasting, Inc.

In 2015, Ramar Communications made a deal to switch frequencies with Barton Broadcasting. On December 18, 2015, five radio stations changed their frequencies at the same time. After this switch, the station became known as "Magic 106.5". On January 6, 2016, the station's call letters changed to KXTQ-FM.
