Karl Holmström, also known as "Bratt-Kalle," was a Swedish ski jumper born on March 21, 1925. He became well-known for his sport and achieved a notable success by winning a bronze medal in the individual large hill event at the 1952 Winter Olympics held in Oslo. Competing against many talented athletes, he showed great skill and determination. Sadly, Holmström passed away in a road accident on June 22, 1974, at the age of 49. His Olympic achievement remains an important part of Sweden’s sporting history.
