Jasper William Johnson, known as Lil Shine, was born on February 18, 2005. He is an American rapper and songwriter from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Lil Shine became well-known in the music world, especially in the PluggnB scene.
He started his music career in 2017. Over the years, he released three studio albums. His first album, Losing Myself, came out in 2022. The second, Shine Forever, was released in 2025. Most recently, he shared his third album, Get Rich Or Die Sippin', in 2026.

Jasper William Johnson was born on February 18, 2005, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He later became known as Lil Shine, a popular rapper and songwriter.
Career
Jasper William Johnson, known as Lil Shine, started making music in 2017 when he was twelve years old. He got noticed in 2019 with songs like "Stop!" and "Relax!" In 2020, he joined a rap group called the Reptilian Club Boyz, but the group ended in 2021.
In 2023, Lil Shine worked with another rapper named Summrs on a song called "Hop Out." He released his second album, Shine Forever, on January 1, 2025. Later, on May 15, 2026, he released another album called Get Rich Or Die Sippin'. This album featured songs with Summrs and another artist named Kankan.
Legal issues
In December 2024, Lil Shine and two others were charged by the government for trying to get controlled medicines without permission. They were accused of using tricks to hack a system and steal information to buy large amounts of certain medicines to sell. Lil Shine said he was not guilty.
Influences and artistry
Lil Shine's music is inspired by styles called PluggnB, rage, and trap. Many of his songs talk about his experiences with drugs and relationships.
