This is a list of countries and areas in South America, showing how many people live in each one. The numbers come from the United Nations and the most recent official counts. Knowing the population helps us understand how big each country is and how many people live there. Some countries have many more people than others, and this list shows the differences. It is interesting to see which places are the most crowded and which have fewer people.

South America has many countries, and some have more people living in them than others. Brazil has the most people, followed by Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Venezuela, Chile, Ecuador, and Bolivia.
