Macau New Urban Zone

The Macau New Urban Zone is a large area of land being created through land reclamation in Macau. This new space measures about 7.3 square kilometres and is an important project for the growth of Macau.
Currently, work continues to shape this new land, which will provide more space for buildings, homes, and public areas. When finished, it will help Macau develop and welcome more visitors and residents.
The zone is located near 22°08′27″N 113°33′47″E / 22.14082°N 113.56310°E / 22.14082; 113.56310, and its creation shows how Macau is expanding its coastline and making room for future needs.
Districts
The Macau New Urban Zone will be split into 5 different parts. Some parts are already finished, some are still being built, and one part was cancelled.
Completed
- A – Eastern side from Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal to the north end of Avenida da Ponte de Amizade
- B – Southern side of Avenida da Dr. Sun Yat-sen (now a part of Sé)
- E1 – Western side of Taipa Ferry Terminal
- E2 – Eastern side of Taipa Ferry Terminal (now part of Nossa Senhora do Carmo)
Under reclamation
- C – Northern side of Avenida dos Jardins do Oceano (between Ponte de Sai Van and Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho)
Cancelled
- D – Northern side of Altira Macau (between Ponte Governador Nobre de Carvalho and Ponte de Amizade)
