Malawi sent athletes to the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. The country was represented by the Olympic and Commonwealth Games Association of Malawi.

Two athletes from Malawi competed in the athletics events. Lucia Chandamale ran in the women's 5,000 m, and Chauncy Master ran in the men's 1,500 m. The races happened at the Beijing National Stadium in Chaoyang, Beijing, from August 15 to August 24, 2008.
Master finished ninth in his heat on August 15 and did not move on to the next round. Chandamale finished 15th in her heat on August 19 and also did not advance.

Swimming

Two athletes from Malawi competed in swimming at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Charlton Nyirenda swam in the men's 50 m freestyle, and Zahra Pinto swam in the women's 50 m freestyle. The swimming events were held at the Water Cube from August 9 to 17, 2008.
Nyirenda swam his race on August 14 and finished first in his heat, but his time of 27.46 seconds was not fast enough to move on to the next round. Pinto swam her race on August 15 and finished third in her heat with a time of 32.53 seconds, which also was not fast enough to advance.
