Market Mall is a big shopping mall in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It is found in the northwest part of the city, in a neighborhood called Varsity. With 907,207 square feet of space, it is one of the largest malls in the Calgary area.

History

Market Mall opened on August 4, 1971, with one of its first big stores being Woodward's Stores Ltd. Over the years, the mall grew with new stores and changes. In 1977, Famous Players started showing movies there, and the mall expanded in 1988 and again in 2004, adding a new wing, a bigger food court, and more parking.

Some stores came and went, like Zellers, which became a Target store before closing. In 2019, a fancy Landmark Cinemas theatre opened, and Toys "R" Us was replaced by Decathlon in later years. In June 2025, Hudson's Bay also closed its doors at the mall.
