Michael Mack was born on December 21, 1978, in Freiburg im Breisgau. He is a German entrepreneur and part of the well-known Mack Family. This family owns and manages Europa-Park, one of the biggest and most popular theme parks in Germany.

Because of his family’s work, Michael Mack has helped make sure that Europa-Park stays a fun and exciting place for families to visit. His role in the park shows how businesses can create joyful experiences for many people around the world.

Life

Michael Mack grew up in Rust. He finished high school in Ettenheim in 1998. He is the son of Roland Mack, who started Europa-Park, and his wife Marianne. He has a younger brother named Thomas and a younger sister named Ann-Kathrin. When he was a teenager, Michael started working at Europa-Park. In 2003, he finished a special business school in Basel, Lörrach, and Colmar. While he was studying, he worked at different amusement parks during his internships.

Since 2010, Michael has been married to Miriam Mack, and they have two sons named Paul and Jacob.

Career

Michael Mack has been very busy creating fun things for people to enjoy! Between 2005 and 2008, he helped lead a company that makes roller coasters, making new and exciting designs.

In 2008, he joined Europa-Park, a big theme park, to help with different jobs there. He started his own company called Mack Media in 2002, which makes cool 3D and 4D movies and special software for virtual reality roller coasters. Later, he started more companies like Mack Solutions, Mack Music, Mack Animation, and MackNext, all focused on entertainment and new technology.

In 2022, he created a new company in France called MACK One. This place is used to test new ideas for virtual reality and other fun technologies. He also made an animated movie called Grand Prix of Europe in 2025 and a TV show called Dino Mates – Ferien bei Madame Freudenreich for 2026, based on a popular ride at Europa-Park.

Other activities and public reception

Michael Mack is part of important groups in the amusement park industry, such as the European board of the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions and the board of Governors of the Liseberg Applause Award. In August 2018, he became an Honorary Consul for France, receiving approval from the French ambassador, Anne-Marie Descôtes.

He has received several awards for his work. In 2016, he was named one of Germany’s top young entrepreneurs by Capital magazine. In 2020, he was voted Hotel Manager of the Year. In 2023, he was honoured by a historic Freiburg carnival group. In 2025, he became a member of the French Legion of Honour. During the COVID-19 pandemic, a post he made on Twitter about government actions caused some concern, and he later removed the post and apologized.
