Overview
The National History Museum of Romania is located inside a beautiful old building that used to be a post office. This building also has a special museum about stamps and coins. The museum covers more than 8,000 square metres and has around 60 rooms filled with important historical items.
You can see a copy of Trajan's Column, the Romanian Crown Jewels, and a treasure called the Pietroasele treasure. The building itself is very fancy, with tall columns and detailed carvings. Sadly, some important items were taken from the museum in 2025, and the museum is currently being fixed up and is only partly open to visitors.
