National Register of Historic Places listings in the Bronx

The National Register of Historic Places is a list that remembers important places from the past. In the Bronx County, New York area, there are 86 special places and areas that have been added to this list. These places are important because they help us learn about history and remember how people lived long ago.
Some of these places in the Bronx are very special and are called National Historic Landmarks. There are seven of these in the Bronx. These landmarks are extra important because they have a big story to tell about America’s past.
