Nepali Times is an English weekly newspaper that shares stories and ideas about Nepali politics, business, culture, travel, and everyday life. It has 16 pages and is made every Friday. The paper is especially for people living far from Nepal, like those working or studying in other countries, as well as for visitors and business people in Kathmandu. They can also read it online.
The newspaper is created by a company called Himalmedia, which also puts out another paper named Himal Khabarpatrika. Since it began in 2000, one person named Kunda Dixit has been in charge of putting the paper together. He also wrote a funny column called “Under My Hat” from 2000 to 2006, which many people enjoyed.
