The Pčinja District (Serbian: Пчињски округ, romanized: Pčinjski okrug, pronounced ) is one of the administrative districts of Serbia. It is found in the southernmost part of the country and had a population of 193,802 people according to the 2022 census. The main city and administrative center of the Pčinja District is Vranje, which plays an important role in the area. This district is part of what makes Serbia a diverse and interesting country to learn about.

History

The Pčinja District, like other areas in Serbia, was set up as an official region in 1992. This happened when the leaders of Serbia made a special rule to organize the country into different areas for better management.

The Pčinja District is a part of Serbia and is the southernmost area of the country. According to the 2022 census, it is home to 193,802 people.

There are three main towns in the district with more than 10,000 people each: Vranje, Preševo, and Bujanovac.
