Penan language

The Penan language, also called Punan-Nibong, is spoken by the Penan people who live in Borneo. This language is part of a group of related languages and is connected to the Kenyah languages.
Researchers who study languages, like those using Glottolog for information, have found that the Western Penan form is more similar to the Sebop language than it is to the Eastern Penan. This helps us understand how different groups of people in the area share and change their languages over time.
The Penan language is important for learning about the culture and history of the Penan people and their way of life in the forests of Borneo.
