The Podunavlje District (Serbian: Подунавски округ, romanized: Podunavski okrug, pronounced ) is one of the administrative districts of Serbia. It is located in the central part of the country. The district has a population of 175,573 people, based on the census from 2022.

The main city and administrative center of the Podunavlje District is Smederevo. This area is an important part of Serbia, with a rich history and culture that makes it a special place to learn about.

History

The Podunovavlje District, like other areas in Serbia, was set up as an official area in 1992. This happened when the leaders of Serbia made a special rule to organize the country into different regions.
