The Port of Gdynia is a busy Polish seaport found on the western shore of the Gdańsk Bay in the Baltic Sea. It is located in the city of Gdynia. This important port began in 1926 and became a key place for moving goods by sea.

In 2008, the Port of Gdynia was second in handling special kinds of cargo called intermodal containers in the whole Baltic Sea area. This shows how busy and important the port was for trade and travel.

Near the port is a place for ships of the water army called the Gdynia Naval Base. They share the same waterways but are run separately. This helps both the port and the base work together while staying independent.

Trans-shipments

The Port of Gdynia has handled more and more goods over the years. In 1924, it managed just 10,000 tons, but by 2023, this number grew to 29,399,000 tons. The port has seen steady growth, especially after the year 2000.
