The Price Formation is a special rock formation found in Virginia and West Virginia. It holds many old fossils that help scientists learn about life from long ago. These fossils come from a time called the Carboniferous period, which was millions of years before dinosaurs existed. Studying the Price Formation helps us understand how Earth and its plants and animals have changed over time.
