Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
Roque del Este (Spanish for "rock of the east") is a small uninhabited islet in the Canary Islands, located 11 kilometres (7 miles) northeast of the island of Lanzarote. It is part of the Chinijo Archipelago, which belongs to the municipality of Teguise.
Roque del Este is the easternmost islet of the Chinijo archipelago and the second smallest. Like the rest of the Canary Islands, it formed from volcanic activity. The highest point on the islet reaches 84 meters above sea level. Today, Roque del Este is protected as part of the integral nature reserve Los Islotes within the natural park known as the Chinijo Archipelago.
