Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines took part in the 2016 Summer Olympics held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from August 5 to August 21, 2016. This was the eighth time the country had joined the Olympic Games in a row.
The team from Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was the largest they had ever sent to the Olympics up to that point. Four athletes went to the Games—two men and two women—and they competed in swimming and track and field.
All the athletes were new to the Olympics except for sprinter Kineke Alexander. She was the oldest and most experienced member of the team at age 30, and she carried the country’s flag during the opening ceremony. It was her third time competing in the Olympics.
