Scapulocoracoid
Adapted from Wikipedia ยท Discoverer experience
The scapulocoracoid is a part of the pectoral girdle that includes two important bones: the coracoid and the scapula. The coracoid is a beak-shaped bone found in many animals, while the scapula is the bone we commonly call the shoulder blade.
The humerus, which is the upper arm bone, connects to the body through the scapula. In the same way, the clavicle, or collarbone, links to the breastbone, known as the sternum, with help from the scapula.
It is interesting to note that in Therian mammals, such as humans and many other animals, the scapulocoracoid is not present. This shows how different animals have unique ways of building their bodies to move and work.
