Stadio Holdings is a private company in South Africa that focuses on providing education through three different institutions. It started as part of another company called Curro Holdings but became its own company in 2017.

The company runs many schools and campuses, helping students learn across the country. Stadio Holdings is based in a place called Durbanville in the Western Cape region. It is big enough to be counted among the top 100 companies in South Africa based on its value.

History

Stadio started as part of a private education group called Curro Holdings, which began in 1998. In 2013, Stadio separated from Curro to focus on higher education and later listed on the JSE Limited in October 2017.

In 2017, Stadio took over a fashion design school in South Africa. By 2019, it planned to start its own IT and medical training schools. In 2024, Stadio began building a new campus in Durbanville, Western Cape. This big project cost R370 million and will have space for up to 5,000 students starting in 2026. The campus opened in October 2025 and will offer many different courses. In March 2026, Stadio shared its plan to have 80,000 students by 2030 and will build more classrooms at its campuses.

Operations

Stadio runs three schools: STADIO Higher Education, AFDA, and Milpark. STADIO Higher Education is the biggest of the three.

By 2024, Stadio offered 90 different courses at 16 locations. These courses range from basic certificates to advanced degrees, including masters and doctorates.

As of March 2026, Stadio had 53,303 students. Most of these students, about 87%, studied from home through distance learning.

For the school year of 2024, STADIO Higher Education had 5,739 graduates, Milpark had 2,378, and AFDA had 962. In total, Stadio helped 9,079 students finish their studies that year.
