Stuttgart Formation
Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
The Stuttgart Formation is a geologic formation in Germany. It is important because it holds many fossils that are very old. These fossils come from a time called the Carnian stage, which was part of the Triassic period, long ago. Studying these fossils helps scientists learn about the plants and animals that lived millions of years ago and how the Earth has changed over time.
