Flag of Romania from 1867 until 1947 and since 1989.

The Sud-Est, which means "South East" in English, is a special area for planning and growth in Romania. This region does not make its own rules, but it helps organize projects to improve the area. It also takes care of money from the European Union to support these projects and make life better for the people living there. Like other areas in Romania, Sud-Est works to bring communities together and create opportunities for everyone.

Counties

The Sud-Est region is in the southeast part of Romania. It includes parts of the old areas called Dobrudja, southern Moldavia, and northeastern Muntenia. The region has several counties, such as Brăila, Buzău, Constanța, Galați, Tulcea, and Vrancea.
