Taeʼ language
Adapted from Wikipedia · Discoverer experience
Taeʼ is a language spoken in South Sulawesi and Indonesia. It is part of the large Austronesian language family and is used by many people living in the Tana Luwu area. This region includes three main areas called Luwu Regency, North Luwu Regency, and East Luwu Regency, as well as the city of Palopo.
Taeʼ is one of the languages spoken by ten different groups of people in this area. It is closely related to the Toraja language and also shares some similarities with Mandar, Massenrempulu, and Mamuju. Many people in southern South Sulawesi use Taeʼ to talk to each other, even though they may speak different local languages. This makes Taeʼ an important way for people to communicate across different regions.
