Torta Tre Monti

Torta Tre Monti is a special cake from San Marino. It is called "Three Mountain Cake" because it looks like the Three Towers of San Marino. This cake has thin, waffle-like layers stuck together with chocolate or hazelnut cream. The whole cake is then covered in a smooth chocolate coating called fondant.

People in San Marino have been making this cake since 1942. A bakery named La Serenissima makes both big pieces of the cake and smaller snack sizes. They also have a version that includes coffee flavor. It is one of the favorite treats in San Marino and is enjoyed by many people there.
