UCSI University, Sarawak Campus

UCSI University, Sarawak Campus is a branch of the UCSI University, a private university in Sarawak, Malaysia. This campus offers studies in hospitality and management, business and information science, and pre-university programs. Over 500 students learn and grow here, making it an important place for education in the region.

History

UCSI University started in 1986 as the Canadian Institute of Computer Studies. Over the years, it changed names several times before becoming UCSI University in 2008. Today, it has four campuses, including one in Sarawak.

The Sarawak Campus is located in Kuching and offers studies in hospitality, tourism, business, and more. It works closely with top hotels and tourism groups to make sure its courses are useful for students’ future jobs. The campus has three main areas of study: Hospitality and Tourism, Business and Information Science, and Pre-University programs. Plans are also in place to build a new campus and hotel in Kuching to support the growing tourism industry in the area.

Co-Operative Education Training Programme

UCSI University has a special program called the Co-Operative Education Training Programme. It started in 2004 and works with more than 700 companies. This program helps students get real job experience while they are studying. Every year, students spend at least two months working with these companies. The university also helps students find part-time jobs in the hospitality and tourism industries.
