The University of Kuala Lumpur (Malay: Universiti Kuala Lumpur, UniKL) is a multi-campus technical university with its main campus based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is known for its focus on technology and applied sciences, helping students prepare for careers in these important fields.
UniKL has been recognized for its quality, receiving a Tier-5 "Excellent University" rating from the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia in several years, including 2009, 2011, and 2013. In 2016, it was also awarded the Putra Brand Award, showing its strong reputation.
The university has 14 institutes spread across 12 campuses in different parts of Malaysia, including cities like Kuala Lumpur, Gombak, Cheras, Bangi, Kajang, Sepang, Pasir Gudang, Ipoh, Lumut, and Kulim. This wide reach allows many students from across the country to access its programs.

Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI)
Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute began in February 1995 as a project between Malaysia and France. The institute, located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, became part of Universiti Kuala Lumpur in 2003. The courses there were mostly created with help from schools in France.

Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI)
Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI) started in 1998 because of a partnership between the Malaysian and British governments. Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), for the Malaysian government, provided buildings and staff while the British government helped through companies such as BAE Systems, British Airways, Standard Chartered Bank (M) Bhd and Rolls-Royce and schools like Wigan & Leigh College and the University of Hertfordshire.

Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI)
Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Spanish Institute (UniKL MSI) started at a temporary campus in August 2002 and moved to its main campus on a 39-acre (160,000 m2) piece of land in Kulim Hi Tech Park, Kedah in December 2003. It is a project between the Malaysian and Spanish governments.

Malaysian Institute of Information Technology, Universiti Kuala Lumpur City Campus (UniKL MIIT)
Formerly known as Institut Infotech MARA, Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) has taught IT since 1982. It began as the Electronic Data Processing School of MARA and aimed to teach computer programming.

Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT)
Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) is Malaysia’s first aviation school and is owned by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA). It is also the first place in Malaysia approved by the Department of Civil Aviation to teach airplane repair courses.
It started as part of MARA’s training school in Jasin, Malacca, for tasks like fixing airplane metal and electronics. With help from Northrop-Rice U.S.A., it moved to Subang, Selangor. As it grew, it moved again to Jenderam Hulu, Selangor, closer to KLIA. When MARA joined all its schools under Universiti Kuala Lumpur, it became UniKL MIAT. It also has a campus at the Subang airport in Subang, Shah Alam, Selangor.
