Västmanland County

Västmanland County (Swedish: Västmanlands län) is a county or län in central Sweden. It is surrounded by several other counties, including Södermanland, Örebro, Gävleborg, Dalarna, and Uppsala. The county also touches the waters of Mälaren, which is Sweden's third largest lake.

Västmanland County is located in central Sweden. It shares borders with several other counties, including Södermanland, Örebro, Gävleborg, Dalarna, and Uppsala. The county also has a shoreline along Mälaren, which is Sweden's third largest lake.
Administration
The main aim of the County Administrative Board is to fulfil the goals set in national politics by the Riksdag and the Government. It works to coordinate the interests of the county, promote its development, establish regional goals, and ensure fair handling of each case. Politics
The County Council of Västmanland is also called Landstinget Västmanland. This group helps take care of the area's health and public services.

Heraldry

Västmanland County uses a special symbol called a coat of arms, which it inherited from the area known as the province of Västmanland. When this symbol is shown with a royal crown, it represents the County Administrative Board.
Sports
Football in the county is managed by the Västmanlands Fotbollförbund. Bandy is also a popular sport, with Västerås SK being one of Sweden's most successful teams. Some Bandy World Championship finals have taken place in Västerås.
