Westwood One Sports is an American sports radio network. It is programmed by Westwood One and Audacy, Inc.. The network began with hourly sports news updates on September 4, 2012, and started full-time programming on January 2, 2013.

At first, the network featured reporters and personalities from CBS Sports, CBS Sports Network, and CBSSports.com. People could listen to Westwood One Sports on radio stations across the United States and also online.

The network offers 24/7 sports programming, bringing the latest news and games to listeners through many affiliates. It has become a popular way for fans to stay connected to their favorite sports teams and events.

History

The network started as CBS Sports Radio, run by CBS Radio together with Westwood One, who took care of selling and sharing the shows.

In November 2017, Entercom took over running the network after joining with CBS Radio. They kept managing it under an agreement with CBS. By the end of 2019, the right to use the CBS logo ended, and in April 2024, the right to use the CBS name also ended. At that point, the network changed its name to Infinity Sports Network, remembering Infinity Broadcasting Corporation, an older company linked to CBS Radio.

On October 21, 2025, Audacy announced that Westwood One would start handling the everyday work of Infinity Sports Network, and the network would change its name to Westwood One Sports on December 29, 2025. The network planned new shows, like a morning show by Drake C. Toll and afternoon hosts Chris Bleck and Adam Abdalla, who used to work at WMVP in Chicago. Shows from Audacy’s BetMGM Network, such as You Better You Bet and BetMGM Tonight, were also added to the schedule.

Stations

Westwood One Sports is heard on more than 300 stations across the United States. Its main station is WFAN in New York City, where some of its shows are made. Though, WFAN only plays a few reports and some weekend shows from the network.

Since 2021, some stations like WFAS and WHLD changed to talk shows, and Audacy moved its focus to the BetQL Network, which talks about gambling. However, a few BetQL stations still play some shows from Westwood One Sports, like The Jim Rome Show.
