Zimbabwe at the 2008 Summer Olympics

Zimbabwe sent a team to compete at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, China. Thirteen athletes from Zimbabwe participated in several sports, including swimming, athletics, tennis, cycling, triathlon, and rowing.
One of the most notable performances came from Kirsty Coventry, who had previously won a gold medal in swimming at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. She was the only athlete from Zimbabwe to win a medal at the 2008 Games, making her a proud representative of her country.

Athletics

Seven athletes from Zimbabwe competed in athletics. The best results were two fourth-place finishes. Brian Dzingai came fourth in the men's 200 metres. He did very well in the early rounds but ended up in fourth place in the final. Ngonidzashe Makusha also came fourth in the men's long jump. He was close to a medal but missed it by just a tiny margin.

Mountain biking
Antipas Kwari from Zimbabwe competed in cycling at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He was the last to finish in the men's mountain bike race, finishing one lap behind the person who came just before him.

Rowing

Elana Hill qualified from her first race but finished last in both her quarterfinal and semifinal, ending up in 25th place.

Swimming

Kirsty Coventry did very well in swimming at the 2008 Summer Olympics. She won a gold medal in the 200-metre backstroke and a silver medal in the 100-metre backstroke. She also won silver medals in the 200-metre and 400-metre individual medleys. Her teammate Heather Brand did not move past the early races.

Chris Felgate represented Zimbabwe in the triathlon. He joined the main group during the swimming part but lost ground during the cycling and running stages.
