Animal tracks are special marks left behind by animals when they walk on soft ground like soil, snow, or mud. These marks can look like little footprints and come in all shapes and sizes.

People love to look at animal tracks because they tell a story. By studying the shape and size, we can often guess which animal made the track. For example, bird tracks look very different from the tracks of animals that walk on four legs, like a fox or a deer.

Tracks can be found almost everywhere โ€” in forests, fields, deserts, and even on snowy mountains. Each animal leaves its own special mark, making tracks a fun way to learn about the secret lives of creatures around us.

Long ago, even dinosaurs left tracks that turned to stone. These old tracks help scientists learn about how animals lived many years before.
