Arlington County is a small county in Virginia, right next to Washington, D.C. It is the smallest county in the United States! Arlington is part of the big Washington area and has both city spots and quiet neighborhoods.

People have lived in Arlington for thousands of years. Native American tribes were there long ago. Later, English settlers came and built farms. Today, Arlington is a busy place with many jobs, especially for the government. You can find important offices like the Pentagon there.

Arlington is famous for Arlington National Cemetery. This is a special place where many brave people who served in the military are buried. Visitors come to see beautiful memorials like the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The county also has parks, theaters, and many places to explore.

Arlington has many ways to get around. The Washington Metro train stops there, making it easy to visit nearby cities. Buses and bike paths help people move around without cars. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is also in Arlington, offering flights to many places.

Arlington is home to many universities and schools. Marymount University has its main campus there, and other big schools have smaller centers. The county works hard to make sure everyone has good places to learn.

Arlington has friendly streets and many parks to enjoy. Glencarlyn Park is a big green space with trails and playgrounds. The county also has sister cities around the world, helping people learn about different cultures. Arlington is a place full of history, jobs, and fun things to see!
