Astronomer
An astronomer is a special kind of scientist who loves to look at the sky and learn about space. Astronomers study stars, planets, moons, comets, and big groups of stars called galaxies. They use tools like telescopes to watch these faraway objects and learn how they work.
Astronomers can study many different things in space. Some learn how planets move around the Sun. Others watch how stars are born and change over time. By looking closely and using science, astronomers find amazing secrets about the big universe we live in.
Many people around the world become astronomers. They often study hard subjects like physics, mathematics, and computing. Some work at universities, while others work at special places called observatories. They spend a lot of time looking at data and thinking about what they might see next.
Besides professional astronomers, many people enjoy looking at the stars as a hobby. These are called amateur astronomers. They sometimes meet in groups to share their love for space and even help professionals with their research. Looking up at the night sky can be a fun and exciting adventure for everyone!
